About Felicitas.

Felicitas Butt is an interdisciplinary installation artist and painter with roots in Kashmir andGermany, whose practice explores the effects of globalisation on local structures.Felicitas is from Oldenburg in Oldenburg (North-West Germany) and has lived the past 7 years in Berlin.

Her work reflects the profound influences of different cultures and explores howglobalisation shapes local identities. Her first solo show in Bremen ‘Hello, my name is’ (2014) was shown in the former childhood parental home of painter Paula Modersohn Becker, who was one of the most importantrepresentatives of early expressionism.

Her work has also been exhibited at The New Bridge Project in New Castle upon Tyne (UK), at the Holy Art Gallery in London (UK), the Breedlijn offsite gallery inAntwerp (BEL), Poland, at the European Championships in Munich and at the Gallery Kollabora.v and Gallery Grolman in Berlin.
